arcenciel ’s accessibility and mobility program has the mission of helping people with disabilities gain access to their independence with dignity and by respecting the specificity of each person.

arcenciel, working in favor of coverage via social security provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs, through their "Access and Rights" regime, endowed the disabled person the choice to cover a part of the cost of the service or to benefit cost free- so that the financial aspect is not a barrier to access this service.

Through technical aide production workshops, adaptation of public space services, distribution and repair offices, and the department of research and development, arcenciel tries to contribute to the independence of PWD as much as possible to make them operational in their personal and professional lives.

Lebanon: adaptation of Sin el Fil's public garden

Beirut, the 28th of October 2013 - Sin el Fil’s region has its own accessible public garden, as the first inclusive park of its kind in Lebanon.

arcenciel and refugees

Through its various centers, arcenciel is helping Syrian refugees - particularly children with disabilities as a result of the war. With the support of UNICEF, arcenciel and the sister NGO himaya are intervening in Tanail (the Bekaa) and Halba (Tripoli) to try countering, as much as possible, the damage caused by the conflict.

Decree 7194

The Ministry of Social Affairs published the 7194 decree in the Official Journal on 29.12.2011, with the aim of developing accessibility standards under the law 220/2000 regarding the rights of persons with disabilities.
