History

Mission

The accessibility and mobility program’s mission is to aid for autonomy in material life and accessibility in order to be operational in today’s world.

Objectives

• enable mobility and displacement in private and public places 
• provide access to information and to the external world 

Target population

People affected by an impairment which is linked to a disability, illness, old age, or a temporary injury.

Strategy of the program 

• greater variety of products to meet any type of disability 
• service in all regions of Lebanon and in some countries of the region to facilitate the acquisition of frequently used products 
• consolidation for funding the program to ensure its sustainability. To date, some of the products issued by arcenciel are partly covered by the social security access and rights system which is affiliated to the Ministry of Social Affairs, the rest is at the expense of the people. It is essential that all products and services are covered by the state to allow a greater number of people to benefit from this aid. 
• production of certain products in peripheral areas of Beirut to participate in the development of these regions.
